Refund policy

At Slumbers (Colchester), we want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase. Please read the following information carefully, as it explains how returns and refunds are handled in line with our Terms and Conditions.

1. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns or cancellations for:

  • Mattresses, bed bases, divans, or upholstered headboards that have been delivered to your premises.

  • Any items that have been unwrapped, unsealed, or used.

Once delivered, these products are legally classified as “used” or “second-hand” under hygiene legislation and cannot be resold as new, even if unused or still sealed.

2. Made-to-Order and Special Items

Products made to your individual specification (including non-standard sizes, firmness levels, or fabric options) cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded once production has started.

3. Faulty or Damaged Goods

Please inspect all items carefully at the time of delivery.

  • Any visible damage must be reported immediately or within 48 hours of delivery.

  • If a manufacturing defect is identified, we will arrange for inspection and, where appropriate, repair or replacement in line with the manufacturer’s guarantee or warranty.

Proof of purchase will be required for all claims.

4. Cancellations Before Delivery

You may cancel your order within 48 hours of placing it, provided that manufacturing has not yet begun.
After this period, cancellation may not be possible.

For online orders covered by the Consumer Contracts Regulations (2013), you may cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods, except where the items are bespoke or have been unsealed (such as mattresses or bedding).

5. Refunds

Where a refund is agreed, it will be processed using the original payment method. Refunds will be made once the return or resolution has been confirmed.

6. Your Rights

Your statutory rights are not affected.
